OSRS Switching Spellbooks (Lunar Spellbook Magicks):
The Lunar spellbook is a collection of spells, similar to the ancient magicks, that can be accessed by players of OSRS who have finished the Lunar Diplomacy quest. All runes are required for casting spells in this book, except for Wrath runes. The spellbook emphasizes the use of Astral runes, and includes numerous teleportation spells as well as the highly useful pking spell known as ‘Vengeance!’.
How to switch to Lunar Magicks?
Quickest Route
In order to switch spellbooks in OSRS, you need to offer prayers at the Astral altar located on the south-east side of Lunar Isle. The quickest route to get there is by talking to Lokar Searunner, who is stationed at the westernmost dock in Relekka. He can take you to the Pirates’ Cove, and from there you can travel to Lunar Isle by boarding the pirate ship and speaking to the captain.
Alternative 1
One way to quickly travel to Lunar Isle in OSRS is by casting the Moonclan teleport spell, which can be found in the Lunar Spellbook.
Alternative 2
Another option for traveling to Lunar Isle in OSRS is to use a Lunar Isle teleport, which is a reward that can be obtained from all levels of Treasure Trails. It is worth noting that you may receive multiple scrolls as a reward, rather than just one.
Alternative 3
Once players have finished the Lunar Diplomacy quest in OSRS and have reached 50 construction and 69 magic, they can add a Lunar Isle teleport to their teleport chamber. However, if your membership expires, your spellbook will revert back to its original state, and you will need to use one of the methods mentioned above to change it back.
Ancient Spellbook Magicks:
In OSRS, the ancient spellbook is a collection of spells that becomes available to players after they complete the Desert Treasure quest. Unlike the Lunar Spellbook, this spellbook is heavily geared towards combat. It includes a total of 16 combat teleports and 9 regular teleports. To cast the spells in this book, players must have access to death and blood runes, as well as other expensive runes. Additionally, a minimum magic level of 50 is required to access this spellbook.
How to switch to Ancient Magicks?
Quickest Route
In OSRS, once you have completed the Desert Treasure quest, the fastest way to switch to the ancient or occult spellbook is to visit a fellow player’s house and offer prayers at their altar. You can easily find a suitable house by using the “minigame group finder” and selecting “player-owned-houses” from the drop-down menu. Then, you can use any clan chat to locate the altar you need. It is important to note, however, that this method is not available to ironman accounts.
Alternative Route 1
In OSRS, players also have the option to switch their spellbook by accessing the altar located inside the Jaldraocht Pyramid. This pyramid is situated in the Kharidian desert, to the southwest of Pollnivneach and north of Menaphos. If you prefer direct access to the altar, there is a rear entrance located on the south side of the pyramid.
Alternative Route 2
If you wish to switch your spellbook from Ancients to the normal one in OSRS, a convenient option is to go to Lunar Isle and offer prayers at the Astral Altar, provided you have already completed the Lunar Diplomacy quest.
Alternative Route 3
In OSRS, if you have earned at least 60% Arceuus Favour, you can use the Fairy Ring code C * I * S and speak with Tyss to switch your spellbook twice.
Alternative Route 4
In OSRS, if you have 80 Construction skill, you have the option to construct an Ancient Altar in your player-owned-house’s Achievement Gallery. Additionally, you may change your spellbook to any of the three available options up to five times per 24 hours if you have the 99 Magic Cape.
Arceuus Spellbook Magicks
To access the Necromancy spellbook, also called the Arceuus spellbook, players must earn at least 60% Arceuus favour in Great Kourend. This spellbook offers a range of teleportation spells, as well as a unique spell for reviving ensouled heads that yields prayer experience within the Arceuus house. To switch to this spellbook, players can speak to Tyss, who is located near the dark altar at the north end of Great Kourend. Tyss can also be approached to revert the spellbook back to normal.
How to switch to Arceuus Magicks?
Quickest Route
You can use a Games Necklace to teleport to the Wintertodt Camp and head southeast, following the path eastward after leaving the snowy area.
Alternative Route 1
You can speak with the nearby NPC Trossa at the fairy ring, pay a one-time fee of 80,000 gold, and use the code CIS to teleport.
Alternative Route 2
Another option is to build a Dark Altar in your player-owned-house with level 80 Construction. This allows you to freely switch between the spellbooks.
