OSRS Giant Mole:

The Faraldo Mole Den, situated beneath Faraldo Park, is home to the Giant Mole – an entry-level boss aimed at players with combat levels around 60. While not particularly powerful, the Giant Mole can prove lethal to unprepared players who fall victim to its special attacks. Despite this, it remains a popular choice for low-level boss hunting as it has a chance of dropping elite clue scrolls, which are highly sought after.

OSRS Giant Mole

One of the main attractions of the Giant Mole is the relatively low cost of obtaining clue scrolls from it. Additionally, the monster boasts a pet with a decent drop rate of 1 in 3000, although it can take killing tens of thousands to acquire it.

When the Giant Mole has sustained enough damage, it will use the “Dig” move to tunnel to the nearest cave. This move causes no damage to the player but renders the mole invulnerable while it is underground. By observing the path the mole takes, players can determine the location of the next burrow.

How To Defeat the OSRS Giant Mole:

Defeating the Giant Mole is a relatively straightforward task, especially once you have reached 43 prayer. Since the boss can only use melee attacks, it can be easily defeated through melee combat. However, simply being able to defeat the Giant Mole does not necessarily make it worth your while.

The Giant Mole is a medium-sized boss that resides in the burrow beneath Farado Park. It is considered one of the easiest bosses in Old School RuneScape, with no advanced mechanics beyond chasing it through its burrow. Despite this, many players, especially Iron Men, opt to farm the Giant Mole for its hides and claws, which can be traded for nests with Wyson, the gardener at Falador Park.

Nests are highly desirable as they serve as a secondary ingredient in Herblore’s Saradomin brew. Due to the difficulty in obtaining them through other means, the Giant Mole is a popular intermediate-level boss to farm.

In fact, defeating the Giant Mole is relatively easy with a Staff of Light and Batwing Robes. High-level defensive gear is not necessary, as the boss spends most of its time on the move. Magic attacks, such as Ice Blitz, are recommended, but Ice Rush can also suffice. If you require visual guidance, feel free to request my RSN and I can provide assistance via private message.

Where to Find The OSRS Giant Mole:

Located in the Faraldo Mole Den beneath Faraldo Park, the Giant Mole (Talpidae wysonian) is a boss that shares its underground home with several smaller moles. According to lore, the origin of the Giant Mole can be traced back to a “little accident” involving a bottle of Malignius Mortifer’s Super Ultra Flora Growth Potion.
