OSRS 1-99 Magic Handy Magical Gear:
By using the equipment listed below, you can achieve 99 Magic faster and more cost-effectively. Although the initial cost of purchasing this gear may seem high, it is a worthwhile investment that will ultimately save you money and increase your magical experience.
Occult necklace
the occult necklace gives 10% more magical damage and should be used when training magic through combat in osrs.
Once you reach level 70 Magic you can start wearing the occult necklace.
This powerful chain (which is reasonably priced at 250k gp) gives you a 10% magical damage increase.
The occult necklace is a MUST if you plan to train magic through combat training as it will increase your experience percentages.
Kodai Wand
When training Magic through combat in OSRS, it’s recommended to use the Kodai Staff, which deals 15% more magical damage. Once you reach level 75 Magic, you can start using the Kodai Wand. This wand enables you to automatically cast spells from the Ancient Magicks Spellbooks and all other spellbooks. Additionally, it provides UNLIMITED water runes.
The wand’s special effect has a 15% chance of negating the rune cost, and using it also grants a 15% magic damage boost. As a result, the Kodai Wand makes magical training more cost-effective and boosts experience rates. It’s highly recommended for burst/barrage training at Maniacal Monkeys and is an absolute must-have.
Quests that give magical experience:
The quests listed below provide magical experience. While completing Witch’s Potion and Imp Catcher can bring you to level 10 Magic, it’s not necessary as those levels can be reached in just 5 minutes.
It’s highly recommended to complete both Lunar Diplomacy and Desert Treasure quests as they unlock high experience percentage Magic training methods discussed in this OSRS Magic Guide.
Completing the Horror from the Deep quest grants access to the Book of Darkness, an excellent item that provides +5 Magic attack and +5 Prayer bonus. This item is a valuable addition to any Magic user’s arsenal.

Bonus Method: Making Money with Magic:
Naturally, you have the option to combine and customize these training methods to develop your own approach towards reaching 99 Magic.
Magic Levels 1 – 7 Air + Water Attack
Make some attacks on low level NPCs for your first 7 magic levels. Start with air attack and proceed with water attack as soon as possible. This should not take longer than 5 minutes.
Magic Levels 7 – 70 Enchanting Bolts
Once you reach magic level 7, you can start enchanting bolts.
Enchanting bolts are precious, but they can give you an insane amount of experience!
Using this method will only take you 150 minutes until level 70 magic.
Enchanting bolts are very expensive. Especially Ruby Bolts (e). However, you can save a lot of money by using ruby dragon bolts instead of regular ruby bolts.

If you are extremely wealthy, you can even take this method all the way to 88 or even 99. However, keep in mind that due to GE purchase limits you can only buy 11,000 bolts every 4 hours. So if you plan on going beyond level 70 with this method, you may need to ask friends and bystanders to help you out.
Magic Levels 70 – 99 Burst / Block at Maniacal Monkeys
This method requires completion of Monkey Madness 1, partial completion of Monkey Madnes 2, and access to the Ancient Magicks spellbook (Complete Desert Treasure)
The fastest magical experience in the game is achieved with the Manicial Monkeys, which are located in the Monkey Madness 2 tunnels.
This is because the Manical monkeys are aggressive and stack on top of each other, making them perfect for bursting or bragging while taking on multiple opponents at once. The highest amount of magical experience that can be had here is 350k per hour which is insane.

Atoll using the Gnome Glider and run south until you find the hatch. Valleys.

Recommended Method For 99 Magic In OSRS:
Magic Levels 1 – 7 Air + Water Attack
Make some attacks on low level NPCs for your first 7 magic levels. Start with air attack and proceed with water attack as soon as possible. This should not take longer than 5 minutes.
Magic Levels 7 – 43 Enchant
From levels 7 – 27 magic you will want to use Lvl-1 enchantment which gives nice experience percentages and also gives you some money. Once you reach level 27, you can switch to Lvl-2 Enchant.
To pull an enchantment, you need 1 cosmic rune, 3 air runes, and an unenchanted item (e.g., emerald ring).

Magic Levels 43 – 55 Overheat Item
From levels 43 – 55 you will want to use the overheated item’s spell to melt ore into ingots.
This spell requires 1 ore, 1 nature rune, and 4 fire runes to perform.
Superheat Item will cost you, but that’s fine, because you can just reinvest the money you’ve earned from enchantments before.

Once you reach level 55, you can switch to high alchemy, which has lower experience percentages but allows you to break even and even earn money. If you prefer high experience rates, you can continue to use the overheating item, which will cost you money.
Magic Levels 55 – 70/99 High Alcho
For levels 55 to 70 Magic, your primary focus should be on using the High Alchemy spell. This classic method of magical training is widely preferred by many players. High Alchemy allows you to train Magic anywhere in Gielinor, as your inventory only requires nature runes and noted items.
Some players choose to train at the Grand Exchange due to its heavy trading activity, which can lead to making new friends while training. The Grand Exchange is a popular spot for High Alchers, so don’t hesitate to socialize and join in.
Others prefer to train alongside friends, regardless of their location. Some even combine High Alching with Agility training.
Alching is a simple and fun method that only requires clicking repeatedly. Give it a try!

You can also earn some money while alching.
By checking the High Alchemy calculator on Alchmate.
There you can filter by GE throttling (you want it to be high so you can buy in bulk) and find out which items are currently profitable.
For example, at the time of writing, Magic Longbows yields 78 per alch. If you look at 1200 alchs per hour, that’s 93k per hour.
It’s not great, but it’s better than nothing!
(Some players will get Alch all the way to 99) . It may seem crazy but at 78k exp per hour and 90k gain per hour it really isn’t that bad compared to training other skills.
Alternative: Levels 55 – 99 Tele Alch
If you’re looking for something a little more click-intensive with higher experience rates, opt for tele-alching instead.
Tele-alching is the combination of using the Teleport to Camelot spell and a High Alchemy in just 5 taps (3 seconds).
To do a Tele-alch, do a high alch first, then immediately follow with a teleport to Camelot (use your function keys to quickly navigate between your spellbook and inventory).
You know you’re doing it right when both spells are used at the same time.
To set up function keys (if you haven’t already), go to your Settings > Joystick > Functions and set them up to your preference.
Tip: To lower the cost of a tele-alch, use a smoke battlestaff that combines fire (for high alch) and air runes (for cammy teleport).

Alternative: Levels 80 – 99 Stun Alch
Once you reach level 80, you’ll unlock an even better tick-perfect method called stun-alching. Like tele-alching, stun alching combines both the stun spell and high alchemy in 5 game characters.
Stun-alching is slightly more click-intensive than tele-alching because the spells are further apart. For this reason, many players continue tele-alching to 99 instead of switching to stun-alching.
Once you reach Magic level 80, you can decide for yourself what suits you best.

Or you can try going into full god mode and combining tele-alching with stun. This is possible in Ardougne where you teleport directly into the market, allowing you to stun one of the guards.
To use this method, which you need to be perfect for, you have to start with the stun spell, cast it on a guard then immediately pop your high alchemy, use your F key to go back to the spellbook and press teleport to Ardougne.
This method is super click-intensive, so we are not responsible for the result.
When done perfectly, this method can yield up to 265,000 experience per hour!
Levels 70 – 99 Ice Blast
From level 70 – 99 you want Ice Burst at the Maniacal Monkeys in the Monkey Madness 2 dungeon. Doing this will give you exp rates of up to 250k per hour.

AFK-Method To 99 Magic In OSRS (Slow)
Magic Levels 1 – 57 AFKing Crabs
If you prefer leveling during AFKing (while watching a movie, for example), you can get from magical levels 1-57 in just 6.5 hours.
For this magical leveling method, you’ll want to be near the Ammonite or Sand Crabs and use your best possible spells on autocast.
Here’s a little rundown of what you’ll be doing:

Magic Levels 57 – 86/99 Enchanted Diamonds (automatically cast)
Next you will use enchanting diamonds with Lvl-4 Enchant. Enchanting diamonds is something you can do very quickly through character manipulation, but for us lazy AFKs out there, there is an autocast feature.
Enchant on autocast is very slow so it’s perfect for AFKing.
Usually you will really make some money with lvl-4 enchant if you are patient with your buy/sell and check the prices.
If you are not patient with your buying/selling on the major exchange, you will at least break even or make a small loss with this method.

If you don’t want to complete Lunar Diplomacy, you can take this method all the way to 99.
Magic Levels 86 – 99 Plank Make (Lunar Spellbook)
A better method than enchanting diamonds (higher experience percentage and profitable) is Plank Make, which becomes available at level 86. However, you must complete Lunar Diplomacy to access this spell, as it is part of the Lunar Spellbook.
Plank make can be autocast, making it a very good AFK method yielding up to 90k exp per hour.
Using this method up to 99 takes about 104 hours and will get you at least 9 million.

F2P Method To 99 Magic In OSRS
F2P Magic Training 1 – 99 with Splashes (AFK)
Spattering is a way to train magic through combat without dealing damage.
So basically you’ll be casting automatically and aiming to hit zeros consistently so that your opponent doesn’t die and you get continuous base.
This is a very AFK way to train magic as you can autocast for 20 minutes at a time.
You can splash on any level 1 NPC in Gielinor (chicken, male, female, etc). Good locations are Port Sarim and Draynor Village. Don’t splash in Lumbridge! (It does not work!)
To properly splatter, wear the following armor to consistently hit zeros:
- Full rudder (bronze/iron if low level)
- Platebody (bronze/iron if low level)
- Platelegs (bronze/iron if low level)
- Kiteshield (Bronze/Iron if low level)
- Green d’hide vambraces (40 ranged required) or Cursed Goblin Staff*
- Staff (for autocasting)
The following three spells give the highest experience percentages when splattering:

Keep in mind that Fire Blast and Fire Bolt are expensive, which is why many F2P players splash Fire Strike all the way up to 99.
F2P Magic Levels 55 – 99 High Alchemy
As an alternative to splatter, from magic levels 55 to 99 you can cast the high alchemy spell just like p2p players can.
This is a great way to train magic for F2P players as it gives 78K exp per hour and is relatively fun to do as all you have to do is click spam in the same place.

Earn Money While Training Magic
Earning money through magic is possible, but it is closely linked to the prices of items in the Grand Exchange. As these prices are constantly fluctuating, the methods to make money using magic also vary. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an exact guide on how to make money with magic. However, we can offer some guidance to steer you in the right direction.
To make money:
You can earn good money by combining certain items. The only caveat is that the profitable items change almost daily and they almost always have a large trade purchase limit.
Fortunately, Alchmate is here to save us.
Alchmate is a website that shows you exactly which items are making a profit in real time!
The way it works is simple! Open Alchmate while at the GE and buy the recommended items for the purchase price as listed on Alchmate. (Only buy if the purchase price has not increased of course)
Also take a look at the ‘GE restriction’ tab to make sure you don’t buy too much unnecessarily.
Do this every day, or a few times a day, and you’ll be able to earn a decent amount of money while gaining some magical experience.

By combining the listed items, which total up to 345 alchs (approximately 17 minutes of alching), you can make a profit of 727,705gp. Checking Alchmate several times a day can help you make a decent profit.
While this method may not yield significant experience, it can be combined with other Magic training techniques to help cover costs.
Additionally, Alchmate can be used to find other alching items. For instance, filtering on “GE restriction” shows that air battlestaves currently yield a profit of 222 per item. Buying 18,000 staves every 4 hours would cost a total of 160 million but can generate a profit of 266k per hour, assuming 1200 alchs per hour.
If air battlestaves are too expensive, Magic Longbows can be used instead to make a profit of 76 per item, yielding approximately 91k per hour.
