Bloodveld OSRS Slayer Guide & Safespots:
Bloodvelds in OSRS, including Mutated Bloodvelds found in the Catacombs of Kourend, require a Slayer level of 50 to be fought. Vannaka, Chaeldar, Nieve, and Duradel are some of the Slayer Masters who may assign you the task of taking them down.
The Bloodvelds are known for their magic-based melee attacks, which deal melee damage but can be lessened with high magic defence. If you prefer to keep a distance, Ranged safespotting can also be an option for both types of Bloodvelds. So, be prepared when facing the Bloodveld OSRS, as they can be a formidable foe!
Where to Kill Bloodvelds OSRS:
Bloodveld OSRS can be encountered in various locations. Regular Bloodvelds, for instance, can be found on the 2nd level of the Slayer Tower, Nieve’s Slayer Cave, and the Godwars Dungeon, including the Wilderness. For those who prefer safespotting, Nieve’s Slayer Cave is the easiest option.
When safespotting, you can utilize the walls to keep yourself out of range of the Bloodvelds while using Ranged attacks. The Slayer Tower also offers safespotting options, including the chair in the northeastern corner of the main room, as well as the various armor stands around the room.
Meanwhile, Mutated Bloodvelds can only be found within the Catacombs of Kourend, making it a great spot to complete your task for better experience and loot. For safespotting, you can make use of the narrow corridors and walls in a similar way to Nieve’s Slayer Cave.
It is worth noting that lower levels should take advantage of safespots, unless they have the proper defensive gear, or are willing to pay extra for prayer potions. So, be mindful of your level and resources when facing the challenging Bloodveld OSRS!
Gear Guide:
When facing the Bloodveld OSRS, it’s important to consider your gear and combat style. For melee tasks, it is recommended to wear gear that boosts your magic defence. On the other hand, if you plan on using safespots, your best Ranged gear will be necessary. Alternatively, you can choose to melee them and use the Protect from Melee prayer.
It’s worth noting that your gear set can be upgraded or downgraded depending on what you have access to. If you’re not using protection prayers, it’s generally recommended to bring your best Dhide armor. However, if you plan on using protection prayers, then bringing your best prayer boosting gear is the way to go.
To speed up the task, cannons may be used, but the loot from Bloodvelds may not make it a very viable method unless you have extra gold to spend. If you decide to use a cannon, you can swap out your Berserker Ring for a Warrior Ring.
So, whether you choose to melee or use safespots, it’s important to consider your gear and plan accordingly when facing the Bloodveld OSRS.
Superior Slayer Monster:
Once you have purchased the Bigger and Badder slayer unlock for 150 points in the Bloodveld OSRS task, there is a 1/200 chance of encountering a superior monster every time you slay a regular one.
If you happen to encounter the Insatiable Bloodveld, you will be rewarded with 2,900 Slayer EXP and three chances to roll on the normal Bloodveld drop table.
On the other hand, if you encounter the Insatiable Mutated Bloodveld, you will receive 4,100 Slayer EXP and three rolls on its respective drop table.
Furthermore, both superior monsters will also have a 1/111 chance to drop one of the four unique items from the Superior Slayer monster drop table. So, keep an eye out for these rare encounters when facing the Bloodveld OSRS!
