Elden Ring

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring:

Miquella’s Haligtree Elden Ring is the most challenging area in the game, not only because of the difficulty of the zone itself, which features tough enemies, tricky platforming, and elusive secrets, but also because reaching it can be a daunting task.

Whether you’re on a quest to find the other half of the Haligtree Elden Ring Secret Medallion or have no clue about what an “Albinauric woman” is, our guide will assist you in finally accessing the legendary Miquella’s Haligtree Elden Ring, an optional Elden Ring zone.

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring An Albinauric Mystery:

Located in the southern region of Liurnia of the Lakes, the Village of the Albinaurics is nestled atop a cliff that is positioned under a larger one. To access it, begin your journey at the Folly on the Lake site of grace and head south through the shadowy and swampy region teeming with colossal crabs. Ascend the slope on the opposite side, and you’ll arrive at the desolate village.

Upon arrival at the village, proceed uphill until you reach a dead end and strike the conspicuous urn. Albus, the village’s sole survivor, will reward you with one half of the broken Haligtree Elden Ring Secret Medallion, the item that sets you on the path to the Haligtree Elden Ring. Albus, who is on the verge of death, imparts his final words, urging you to seek the Albinauric Woman, your only clue for your next move.

As you progress through the game, Gideon, the presumed master of the Roundtable Hold, will occasionally offer cryptic hints about where to go next, including the Albinauric Woman, who he says is hiding in a cave west of the Laskyar Ruins on the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia. However, finding this cave is no easy task.

To begin your search for the Albinauric Woman, travel south from the Scenic Isle site of grace in Liurnia until you come upon a tunnel entrance in a ridge that leads to the Lakeside Crystal Cave, a dungeon that will take you to her. Once you’ve successfully navigated the dungeon and defeated the boss, travel through the passageway on the other side of the boss room and meet Latenna and her wolf, Lobo.

Latenna will inform you that the other half of the medallion you seek is on the Mountaintop of the Giants, far away from your current location. She will offer to accompany you as a spirit ash summon. However, to continue your journey to the Haligtree Elden Ring, you must first reach the Mountaintop of the Giants, which requires advancing in the main storyline and defeating the main boss of the Royal Capital, Leyndell (check our guide to the Capital for assistance). Return to this guide once you’ve reached that point.

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring Castle Sol:

Castle Sol, a medium-sized stronghold located at the northernmost edge of the zone, is your destination on the Mountaintop of the Giants. You can spot the structure on your map even before visiting it.

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring - Castle Sol

As you make your way up the frozen ravine in the center of the area, you’ll come across several slopes that lead up to the ridges above. Follow them and use your map to locate the bridges that will take you over the chasm towards Castle Sol. Once you’re in the large graveyard zone filled with undead, search for a downward slope.

The castle itself is larger than a typical dungeon but smaller than a true legacy dungeon like Stormveil. It’s filled with seriously tough enemies and a boss that can be a formidable obstacle. In this guide, we’ll walk you through it.

Firstly, you’ll want to quiet the nearby Walking Mausoleum so that you don’t have to endure its endless bell tolling while you’re here. Strike off the skull-shaped debris on a few of its “feet,” and it will calm down.

After quieting the Walking Mausoleum, proceed through the main entrance where two fierce Lion Guardians await. They are difficult to defeat alone, so consider summoning help, using a Spirit Ash, or luring them to the front door and attacking them with spells. Be wary of their frost breath, which leaves a damaging residue on the ground. Eliminating both enemies yields Somber Smithing Stone x2, Beast Blood x2, and Old Fang x4. Fortunately, they do not respawn.

To the right of the entrance, you’ll find a Golden Rune on a seated corpse. Straight ahead from the entrance, a Smithing Stone can be found on a body beneath the wood platform. After collecting those items, maneuver past the spiked barricades and climb the stairs to head north.

The first doorway on your left houses a Nascent Butterfly, but beware of the slugs that may fall from above. Ascend the ladder and locate Fan Daggers x5 on a corpse dangling over the edge. Continuing along this path will draw the attention of deadly ballista operators and a soldier hurling fire pots from nearby rooftops. Past the curved wooden walkway, a Golden Rune can be found on a body, though you may want to eliminate the ballista on the other end first by sprinting and dodging.

After taking out the Lion Guardians at the main entrance, head to the right to find a Golden Rune on a seated corpse and a Smithing Stone  under the wood platform straight ahead. Move past the spiked barricades and go up the stairs to the north.

Inside the first doorway on your left, you’ll encounter a Nascent Butterfly and some slugs that drop from above. Climb the ladder to find Fan Daggers x5 on a corpse hanging over the edge. Beware of the ballista operators and a soldier with fire pots on nearby rooftops. To get a Golden Rune on a body past the curved wooden walkway, you’ll need to take out the ballista first.

As you proceed, another ballista to the east will fire at you. Dodge its projectiles and climb the ramp to kill the fire bomb thrower and ballista operator. Retrieve the nearby Smithing Stone and slide down the ladder to obtain the “Sorcerer” Painting puzzle item. Open the door and head outside, but watch out for the three wolves.

To the east, you’ll find Thawfrost Boluses x3, but be careful of the flame-spewing Warhawk. Follow the walkway to the west to find Freezing Grease x5 on a corpse. Return to the Warhawk and take the path to the north. Enter the doorway and head upstairs, then out into the courtyard, where several ghostly soldiers will appear, including a pair in close quarters and an archer up on a ledge. Defeat the soldiers and climb the stairs for a Golden Rune (and two more spectral soldiers to fight).

Take the main stairs to the south to confront a powerful spectral knight and an archer. Defeat them and grab the Thawfrost Bolus. Climb up the ladder to the right to find a Smithing Stone, then cross the bridge to find a Golden Rune. Continue on this path and fight two wolves and a deadly spectral halberd knight across a small wooden bridge. Up the stairs from there, you’ll find a Stonesword Key.

To reach the next area, head back through the bridges and either descend the ladder or jump down from the walkway. Once inside, you’ll come across the Church of the Eclipse, a site of grace where you can take a break. However, your journey isn’t over yet.

On the other side of the church, you’ll find the Eclipse Shotel weapon resting on the altar. To the right of the church, climb up the ladder to the upper rampart on the wall. Be sure to take out any archers from a distance. Follow the rampart to the wooden walkway, then descend the ladder to confront a dangerous knight wielding two weapons. Just past him, you’ll find the Cerulean Amber Medallion +1 on a ledge.

Go back to the top of the rampart and jump down to the rooftop below. Here, you’ll find five rats and a Smithing Stone on a corpse. Proceed through the door to the right to find a Rune Arc near a blazing brazier.

Fast travel to the Church of the Eclipse Site of Grace and head outside. Instead of turning right, go straight ahead and enter the doorway. Inside, you’ll face three crawling Albinaurics that can grab you, so watch out. Target the Albinauric sorcerer hanging from the ceiling and use distance attacks to defeat him. This will prevent him from summoning any dangerous spectral knights.

Climb upstairs to find a Smithing Stone. Almost there! But first, target yet another Albinauric sorcerer hanging from the ceiling. Don’t let these sorcerers summon help, or you’ll be in for a tough fight.

Pull the lever in the courtyard to gain access to the shortcut lift that leads to the boss. Ride it down and grab the Furlcalling Finger Remedy. This is a sign that you might need some co-op help for the upcoming boss fight. Fast travel or run back outside to the Castle Sol Main Gate site of grace, which is the better option to reach the boss fight due to the lack of enemies between it and the elevator.

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring The Liturgical Town:

The next step involves a puzzle, which can be a bit confusing due to the Haligtree Elden Ring‘s interface quirks. The medallion’s description states that it must be used at the Grand Lift of Rold. However, since you already used the Rold elevator to reach the Mountaintop of the Giants, how do you use the Haligtree Elden Ring Secret Medallion?

The solution is surprisingly simple. Return to the Grand Lift of Rold and stand where the prompt to use the Rold Medallion appears. Then, press left or right on your controller’s d-pad to reveal the option to use the Secret Medallion instead. The lift will descend instead of ascending, and you’ll find yourself in the Hidden Path to the Haligtree Elden Ring dungeon.

How to Get to Haligtree Elden Ring - Liturgical Town

You can skip finishing the dungeon for now, as it can be quite challenging. Instead, head up the stairs and pass by the giant Land Octopus and Vulgar Militia enemies. Take a right turn to reach the dungeon’s site of grace, which is where you’ll find the exit to the Consecrated Snowfield.

Refer to your map and head straight for the Map Stele, making sure to pass by the Consecrated Snowfield and Inner Consecrated Snowfield sites of grace, while avoiding the large and menacing Spectral Dragonkin Soldiers that will appear to hinder your journey.

Continue to travel north until you reach the Ordina, Liturgical Town site of grace, located just outside the town’s entrance.

Before proceeding further, take a quick detour to purchase some gear that will be useful in this area. If you don’t already have the Sentry Torch, you can buy it from the merchant located north of Leyndell, near the Outer Wall Battleground Site of Grace.

Additionally, make sure to solve the Mirage Rise puzzle located on the Altus Plateau forest’s western edge if you haven’t already. Doing so will reward you with the Unseen Form spell, which will prove helpful.

Make sure you have the ability to cast the Unseen Form spell before attempting to complete Ordina, as it will be crucial to your success. You may need to re-spec your character or use talismans to increase your intelligence stat if necessary.

Once you have the spell, explore the outer edge of Ordina to find the Black Knife Armor under an archway on the north side, which reduces the sound you make. You may also have the Crepus’s Vial talisman from following the Volcano Manor guide, which accomplishes the same thing.

Make your way to the evergaol teleporter on the north side of town. The nearby hint book will tell you to “light the four figures” inside, but this is easier said than done. Inside the evergaol version of the town, you’ll face deadly-accurate magical archers and invisible Black Knife Assassins. Fortunately, equipping the Sentry Torch you may have just purchased will reveal the assassins to you.

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to complete this puzzle. You’ll need to light four fires around the town, with three of them located in towers that require climbing. The fourth fire is at ground level. The assassins patrol the streets while the archers watch the rooftops. Here are some general tips to help you out, along with step-by-step directions to make it easier:

  • Keep the Sentry Torch equipped in your off-hand if you want to avoid being ambushed by an invisible assassin. This torch reveals these foes even when you two-hand your main weapon.
  • Engage with the enemies as little as possible; they’re comically overpowered no matter your level. This is meant to be a stealth mission.
  • If you die inside the evergaol, you can pick up your runes at the same spot in the overworld, without risking being killed again.
  • You can explore the overworld version of the town as much as you want to familiarize yourself with the layout before venturing into the evergaol.
  • Once you light a fire, you don’t have to light it again, even if you’re killed and have to start the evergaol over.

As soon as you arrive at the evergaol, head west and hop over the low wall to the ground below. Ensure that there are no assassins on the nearby street before proceeding. Then, follow the perimeter of the town to the west until you reach a ladder. Climb up to light the first fire.

Descend the ladder and keep moving south while keeping the town’s edge within view. You will eventually reach the location where the Site of Grace exists in the overworld. However, there is an invisible assassin guarding the next statue up the stairs. Unfortunately, there is no way to sneak past him, so you will have to engage in combat. Treat him as a boss and defeat him quickly. Light the second candle.

Afterward, return to the main stairs and quietly traverse the railing past multiple stacks of barrels placed against a building’s side. Keep hugging the building’s perimeter around several corners until you reach another ladder. Climb up to light the third statue.

Now that you’ve lit all four flames, the way across the rooftops to the fourth flame is visible. Use Unseen Form to sneak past the archers or else they’ll be a constant nuisance. With the spell and sound-dampening effect, you can make it most of the way without attracting their attention. Bum rush the nearest archer once they notice you and climb the ladder to light the final candle.

Once you’re back in the overworld, the seal blocking the stairway on the town’s north side will be removed, granting access to the teleporter that leads to Miquella’s Haligtree Elden Ring. But don’t get too comfortable just yet – the Envoys in the branches will be a whole new challenge. Stay tuned for our upcoming comprehensive guide to the Haligtree Elden Ring. Good luck until then!
