How to Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring:
Learn How to Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring with our first build inspired by Grimmy’s amazing PvP build, The Wall. Essentially, you’ll be wearing the heaviest armor you can find and lugging two massive, high-damage-reduction giant shields to fend off anything that gets in your way. Although we can’t vouch for its viability against actual Elden Ring bosses, you’ll need a lot of stamina, health, gear loadout, and damage reduction to make it happen.
To defeat Fire Giants, you’ll need to increase your resistance to physical and fire attacks by wearing armor and amulets that boost these resistances. It’s crucial to wear the heaviest armor possible, but be mindful not to have a heavy burden that hinders your dodging abilities.
Melee builds that rely on strength or agility should focus on using Torrent to get close to the Fire Giant, then dismount and rely on invincibility frames when attacking it up close. To minimize the number of attacks that can effectively hit the Defiler, stay behind the Fire Giant and slam it with your feet.
How to Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring Using Area-of-Effect Attacks:
Learn How to Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring by using Elden Ring Area spells and summons that fire multiple attacks in a wide area to deal massive damage to the giant. The Fire Giant is large enough to absorb most, if not all, of the attacks, making Rotten Breath and The Flame of Frenzy excellent examples of spells to use.
To execute this strategy, make sure you are standing on firm ground on one side of the area, away from the toxic water that can cause permanent damage if you are poisoned. Find the boss without being poisoned for a more relaxed time. As a mage, you can easily defeat the Boss by spamming spells from a safe distance, making sure to deal full damage, and the Fire Giant won’t be able to retaliate.
Avoid melee structures and wait for the Fire Giant to use a ranged attack that spawns golden spikes from the ground. This attack is slow and easy to dodge, and after use, the giant is open to melee attacks, so focus on punishing that attack repeatedly.
In Phase 2, the Fire Giant uses the Burning Field, a problematic AOE attack that slams the ground around it with both hands. To avoid this move, use Torrent to run away and lure the Fire Giant to an area where the ground isn’t on fire.
Use Ranged Attacks:
To successfully Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring in the second stage, ranged fighters should aim for the left forearm, which is a more vulnerable spot than the ground melee fighter can hit. With ranged attacks’ inherent accuracy, you can exploit the giant’s forward attacks and occasionally aim for his weak spots behind him. After a few successful hits, you can break the fire giant’s cover and attack the large eyes on its belly for even more damage. This process should be repeated until the Fire Giant is defeated.
When the Fire Giant uses a dive attack from above, run backwards (hold run) and attack after missing to focus on punishing that attack. Stay away from the boss when he goes down. For ranged/magic builds, you can run and shoot the giant between its attacks.
The Fire Giant primarily uses fire magic and Morningstar melee weapons. It has low defense, low health, short attack range, and is easy to dodge. Lure the giant into melee attacks by running (holding) in front of it, and hit it 1-2 times after it misses. You can also attack whenever it casts fire magic, but be quick to avoid the stalking fireball it casts.
If you’re using a mage or ranged build, hitting the Fire Giant can be challenging, but using the time outlined for ranged attacks will increase your chances of hitting it while it’s attacking or casting a spell. You can easily outrun its tracking fireballs by waiting for them to explode before attacking the boss again. With these strategies, you’ll be well-equipped to Beat Fire Giant Elden Ring and emerge victorious.
